Rare Diseases

There are many medical physicians in this country that have studied well to learn their profession of caring for those who are ill. The health insurance companies around the country created a necessary platform for themselves because they to have a desire, for a price of course, to help their fellow citizens in their time of need.

This compatible system has worked very well for many years and many lives have been saved. Others in need have found their quality of life improved. There are another very small percentage of citizens who are left behind by both the medical community and the health care industry simply because their ailment is rare.

In the country at present, there are about seven thousand diseases that are recognized by the medical community and the health insurance community. These recognized diseases, ailments, and afflictions are so rare that these individuals inflicted have no recourse.

These same individuals have tried to make appointments with their medical physician and have a conversation with their health insurance provider, but they are always left to their own vices. Unfortunately, these diseases will never see the light of day for funding or coverage through the health care industry to find a cure one day because there is no reason to invest good money into a cure for such a small population of individuals.

These are the individuals that are left to their own vices to take care of themselves the best they are able and must live with and endure the pain and suffering their disease causes. At times even the health care industry, like the medical community acknowledges these rare diseases, but virtually does nothing.

All the popular known diseases today receive funding, meaning it is worth the medical community’s while to invest further in the search for a cure like breast cancer, prostate cancer, and HIV. There is a very prominent organization that has identified all seven thousand rare diseases and they will help refer those in need to specific medical physicians.

The health care community also supports this effort, but it is a big country and sometimes the medical physicians are too far out of reach. In many ways, this is far worse than even a pre-condition because at least there are health care avenues to find the medical physician to help even it takes a few months of wait time. The health insurance industry is in a quandary because so little information is available.
